The accuracy of missiles that deliver nuclear warheads has vastly improved during
the half-century since the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. At the same time the power
of the nuclear warheads has increased enormously while their size has been reduced
to facilitate their use in war. Although the number of nuclear weapons has decreased
in response to changes in the relationships among nuclear states, there are still
tens of thousands remaining in the world. Many difficult problems need to be
solved, such as the attitude of the nuclear states that "nuclear weapons
are necessary to maintain peace," the expense of dismantling nuclear weapons
and the revision of the nuclear industry for peaceful purposes.
Testimonies
of the victims of nuclear development and testing are shown on video.
The
threat of nuclear weapons is shown by a model of missile and other exhibits.
